Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Driver Supervisor to join our team. The most important function of this role is accident prevention. This will be achieved through a hands-on, personal approach to bus routes and the daily use of our advanced video camera systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring driver performance, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and fostering a culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities
· Work daily with the online video camera system to monitor driver behavior, review events, and identify areas for improvement.
Proactively supervise drivers on their routes through in-person observation and coaching to ensure safe driving practices.
· Provide direct, constructive feedback and training to drivers regarding on-road incidents, violations, or unsafe habits.
· Respond to accident scenes to provide on-site support to the driver, gather necessary details, and ensure proper procedures are followed.
· Identify and closely monitor drivers with repeated or high-risk behaviors, implementing corrective action plans as needed.
· Save and archive critical video footage in the event of an accident to support investigations and the company’s defense.
· Prepare and submit a weekly report to management summarizing safety incidents, driver performance, and disciplinary actions.
Qualifications
· Previous experience in a supervisory role involving drivers, transportation, or logistics.
· A proactive mindset with a strong commitment to safety and accident prevention.
· Excellent communication skills for effectively interacting with drivers in person.
· Strong attention to detail, especially when reviewing video and preparing reports.
· Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
· Experience with vehicle camera or telematics systems is a plus.
