What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Hygienist position at Implant and General Dentistry of Long Island LLP?
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and self motivated experienced hygienist to join our team! Our office is an exceptionally modern fee-for-service private practice centrally located in Long Island with state-of-the-art technology, an enthusiastic team, a wonderful patient population, and has an emphasis on quality patient care. The clinicians in the office (including 2 Dental University Professors) provide all phases of dentistry with an emphasis on implant, cosmetic, and reconstructive dentistry.
You must be proficient with:
- Patient Management
- Scaling and Root Planing
- Cavitron
- ProphyJet
- Hand Scaling
- Implant Maintenance
- Oral cancer screenings
- Taking and Reading Radiographs
- Taking impressions
- Zoom whitening
- Sealant placement
- Fluoride application
- Giving local anesthesia
- Providing nitrous oxide
- Providing personalized oral hygiene instruction
We provide a generous amount of time (1 Hour) for each appointment to allow you to create a calm and relaxing environment for the patient while providing high quality treatment.
We are looking for a hygienist for minimally 1 day a week (Tuesdays) with the opportunity to be 2-3 days a week.
