The Opportunity
The Engagement Manager / Head of Professional Services will own the full lifecycle of IMPEX’s service engagements, from scoping and SOW creation to delivery execution, customer satisfaction, and long-term account growth.
This is a mid-level leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys building structure, and wants to shape a growing Professional Services function. You will work closely with Sales, Engineering, and executive leadership to ensure IMPEX delivers high-quality, high-value outcomes for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Delivery Ownership
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Professional Services engagements across IMPEX’s enterprise and mid-market clients
- Lead project scoping, requirements gathering, and solution definition for infrastructure, cloud, networking, and cybersecurity projects
- Oversee end-to-end delivery, ensuring engagements are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Manage customer expectations, executive communication, and risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle
- Build strong, trusted relationships with client stakeholders and technical teams
Professional Services Operations
- Develop and refine IMPEX delivery methodologies, templates, and best practices
- Partner with Sales to support pre-sales scoping, LOE estimates, and SOW development
- Track project financials including forecasting, margins, and revenue recognition
- Manage resource allocation and utilization across internal engineers and external partners
- Drive continuous improvement across delivery processes, documentation, and customer experience
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and escalation support to IMPEX engineers and consultants
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Engineering, and Customer Success to ensure seamless handoffs and unified customer experience
Customer Success & Growth
- Ensure customers achieve measurable outcomes and maximize value from IMPEX solutions
- Identify opportunities for follow-on services, expansion, and long-term account growth
- Conduct post-project reviews and implement lessons learned
- Represent Professional Services in internal strategy discussions and roadmap planning
Required Qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience in Professional Services, Consulting, or Engagement Management within an IT solutions provider, VAR, MSP, or systems integrator
- Proven experience leading complex technical projects involving infrastructure, cloud, networking, or cybersecurity
- Strong understanding of OEM ecosystems (e.g., Palo Alto Networks, Dell, VMware, Nutanix, Cisco)
- Experience with SOW creation, project financials, and delivery governance
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presence
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent engagements in a fast-paced environment
- PMP certification required
Compensation
Annual Salary: $130,000- $175,000
