Job Summary:
Impex Chevrolet GMC is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Parts Counter. Person to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will assist customers and service technicians in identifying and obtaining the correct automotive parts while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
● Assist retail and wholesale customers in identifying, locating, and purchasing automotive parts.
● Communicate effectively with service technicians and provide accurate parts information for vehicle repairs.
● Utilize dealership parts catalog and inventory system to ensure correct parts are ordered and supplied.
● Process parts sales transactions efficiently and accurately.
● Receive and stock parts, keeping inventory organized and up to date.
● Maintain a clean and well-organized parts counter and storage area.
● Assist in managing inventory levels, including conducting cycle counts and reporting
discrepancies.
● Work closely with the Parts Manager to ensure smooth department operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
● Prior experience as a parts counter person in an automotive dealership or auto parts
store preferred.
● Strong knowledge of automotive parts and vehicle systems.
● Excellent communication skills.
● Ability to use computerized parts cataloging and inventory management systems.
● Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
● Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a fast-paced environment.
● Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record preferred.
