Leading at Impetus:
We are looking for a seasoned Client Partner to lead and grow strategic accounts within the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) segment—someone who doesn’t just manage relationships but truly owns them.
In this role, you will act as the trusted advisor to key clients, driving account expansion, revenue growth, and long-term partnerships within the CPG domain. You will combine a farmer’s approach of nurturing existing relationships with a hunter’s mindset to identify and close new opportunities within the account.
This is a high-impact leadership role where you will be responsible for scaling existing portfolios, unlocking new growth opportunities, and delivering measurable business outcomes.
Skills Required:
Strategic Account Management
- Develop and execute a strategic account plan to drive significant revenue growth (targeting expansion from $7M to $20M portfolio)
- Own revenue, margin, and account performance metrics
- Serve as the primary escalation point and trusted advisor for the client
- Build industry-specific playbooks for CPG clients leveraging Impetus capabilities
Client Relationship Management
- Establish and grow CXO-level relationships within CPG organizations
- Strengthen Impetus’ footprint by positioning analytics, AI, and cloud solutions
- Drive executive conversations and strategic alignment with client stakeholders
Solution Development & Delivery
- Collaborate with delivery and pre-sales teams to ensure successful program execution
- Co-create transformational solutions tailored to CPG use cases (supply chain, demand forecasting, customer analytics, etc.)
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention
Business Development
- Drive account expansion and new revenue streams through cross-sell and upsell
- Create and execute Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies
- Leverage ecosystem partnerships (AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, etc.) to unlock growth opportunities
- Identify and pursue new logos within the CPG ecosystem (if applicable)
Advocacy & Collaboration
- Act as the voice of the client within Impetus
- Build strong collaboration across sales, delivery, and partner teams
- Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with client leadership
- Foster a high-performance, ownership-driven culture
Key Requirements
- 10 years of experience in enterprise IT services / consulting sales, with strong exposure to CPG / Retail domain
- Proven track record of managing and growing large accounts ($5M–$20M )
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, account expansion, and pipeline development
- Strong experience in CXO-level stakeholder management and strategic selling
- Ability to identify whitespace opportunities and drive large, complex deals
- Self-driven mindset with ability to operate independently without heavy team dependency
- Strong understanding of data, analytics, AI, and cloud-led transformation in CPG industry
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presence
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; MBA preferred
