Maintenance Technician
Location: Lexington, NC

Pay Range: $22.00 – $30.00 per hour (based on skill level)
A growing plastics manufacturing facility in the Lexington, NC area is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support plant operations and ensure equipment reliability. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong troubleshooting abilities and experience maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment.
Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on plant equipment and facility systems. The ideal candidate will have multi-disciplinary maintenance experience and the ability to work independently while supporting production needs.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Troubleshooting & Repair
- Diagnose and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Troubleshoot and repair injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment
- Maintain and repair plant systems including panels, switchgear, lighting, chillers, and cooling towers
- Assist manufacturing teams with equipment-related issues to minimize downtime
Preventative Maintenance
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on plant equipment
- Change oils and filters as required
- Inspect electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components
- Maintain and verify all equipment safety features
- Document repairs and preventative maintenance activities in accordance with quality system requirements
Facility & Operational Support
- Maintain plant cleanliness and housekeeping standards
- Communicate effectively between shifts to ensure smooth transitions
- Assist with installation and implementation of new equipment and projects
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE
- Comply with Lockout/Tagout procedures
- Complete additional projects as assigned by Maintenance leadership
Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of industrial maintenance experience
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Forklift experience or willingness to train
- Overhead crane experience or willingness to train
- Lockout/Tagout training
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
