Title: Senior Bunker and Marine Fuel Trader (Back to Back and Physical Supply)
Salary: 60-120,000USD base bonus

With the opportunity to work in office in Houston, this is an opportunity for a hungry bunker/marine fuel trader to join an established but growing team with a multitude of strings to their bow.
Imperium Commodity Search is confidentially retained by a leading major Global Supplier & Trading firm who have been servicing the maritime fuel/bunker industry for over 30 years. The company has a strong presence across Europe & Asia with strategic supply locations supported by multiple trading offices across the globe, priding themselves on their quality, becoming one of the most reputable independent groups within the marine fuels business.
We are currently seeking a Senior Bunker Trader to join their trading office in Houston to continue expanding their offering & services to not only to the US market but international customers from the rest of the world. The role will be responsible for expanding and growing the firms Back-2-Back trading book within the region as well as promoting the firms’ physical locations. Relocation opportunities are also available for experienced traders seeking a move to the USA.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Back-to-back trading of Bunkers and Marine Fuel, (Fuel Oil, Gas Oil, Alternative fuels) to Ship owners / Operators / Traders within the Global market.
- Handle bunker enquiries within the American and International markets offering transparent pricing and services to customers.
- Establish relationships and leverage upon existing relations with end-users and suppliers to facilitate back-to-back bunker trading across Tanker, Dry, Bulk & Commercial sectors whilst promoting the companies’ physical locations.
- Work closely with the Head of Trading to implement new strategies and develop new markets within North America.
- Stay on top of market news and insight, understanding market analysis within global ports and pricing.
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- 3 years’ experience in a back-to-back bunker/marine fuel sales -trading position across North America region with your own customer portfolio.
- A solid understanding of bunkering policies within various ports across North America region with proven track record of executing business efficiently and transparently.
- An understanding Hedging and pricing tools to facilitate confident and effective trading of bunkers/marine fuel.
- Fluency in English (additional Languages would be beneficial)
- A network of shipowner/bunker and marine fuel contacts/portfolio of business to facilitate back-to-back bunker trading within North America
- Reporting directly into Head of Trading
- Located in Houston, open to relocation or able to work remotely in other US States
