Food Server

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Food Server to join our dynamic team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service, excellent customer relations skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction in a fine dining or casual restaurant setting. Experience with POS systems and food safety standards is highly valued. The Food Server will play a key role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while maintaining high standards of hospitality and sanitation.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
• Serve food and drinks promptly while adhering to proper food handling and sanitation procedures
• Clear tables efficiently, bussing as needed to maintain cleanliness and guest comfort
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
• Assist with food preparation or kitchen duties if required, ensuring compliance with food safety standards
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and wine or beverage pairings to assist guests effectively
• Provide guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally
• Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth restaurant operations

Experience

• Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred, especially in fine dining or hospitality settings
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is advantageous
• Experience with food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques is essential
• Previous roles such as host/host, bartender, busser, or server in a nightclub or hospitality setting are beneficial
• Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during peak hours
• Demonstrated ability in upselling and sales techniques to enhance guest experience and revenue generation
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and guest relations
• Basic math skills for order accuracy, billing, and cash handling responsibilities

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
