  • Why you're interested in joining Imperial Utilities & Sustainability.

Are you equally comfortable explaining data to executives as you are building the analysis behind it?Imperial Utilities & Sustainability is looking for a highly analytical, naturally curious Project & Data Analyst who enjoys solving complex problems, coordinating projects, and turning large amounts of data into meaningful business insights.

This is not a traditional analyst position.

Our analysts are trusted advisors who combine statistics, critical thinking, project coordination, and exceptional communication to help commercial building owners reduce operating costs through utility management, financial analysis, rebates, and energy initiatives.

If you enjoy asking why, love finding patterns in data, naturally take ownership of projects, and can confidently communicate your findings to customers and teammates, we'd love to meet you.

As a growing, family-owned company, every team member has a meaningful impact. You'll have the opportunity to help shape new services, improve processes, and take ownership of projects from concept through completion.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze large datasets and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Perform statistical analysis, including regression analysis and scenario modeling, to support business decisions.
  • Build and maintain advanced Excel models using complex formulas, lookups, What-If analysis, and data validation.
  • Produce monthly analytical reports with written insights and recommendations.
  • Coordinate multiple client projects simultaneously while ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Manage rebate and incentive projects from application through completion.
  • Research new opportunities, utility programs, and emerging service offerings.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, utility companies, municipalities, and other external partners.
  • Assign project tasks, monitor progress, and facilitate weekly team meetings.
  • Train and mentor teammates on analytical methods, software, and best practices.
  • Identify process improvements that increase efficiency and elevate the client experience.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership to move strategic initiatives from idea to implementation.

What We're Looking For

We're searching for someone who is more than technically capable—we're looking for someone who enjoys learning, communicating, and taking ownership.

The ideal candidate has:

  • Strong statistical and analytical skills
  • Experience with regression analysis and quantitative problem solving
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (complex formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, What-If Analysis, Pivot Tables, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project coordination and organizational abilities
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive, self-motivated attitude
  • The ability to prioritize multiple projects without sacrificing quality
  • A collaborative, positive approach to working with teammates and clients
  • Confidence presenting findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences

Experience in the energy, utilities, commercial real estate, engineering, sustainability, or commercial building industries is a plus—but not required.

Why Join Imperial?

At Imperial Utilities & Sustainability, we're a close-knit team that believes great ideas come from people who are empowered to think independently, ask questions, and continuously improve.

You'll work on projects that have a measurable financial impact for clients while developing expertise in analytics, project management, and consulting. As our company continues to grow, so do the opportunities for our team members to take on leadership, develop new service offerings, and make a lasting impact.

If you're someone who enjoys turning data into decisions and enjoys seeing projects through to completion, we'd love to hear from you.
