Personal Assistant / Caregiver

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and professional individual to become an important part of her daily life by providing personal assistance, companionship, and support with everyday activities. This is not an agency position—you will work exclusively with one individual, allowing you to build a meaningful relationship while helping her maintain the independence she values.

You will be assisting an active, independent business owner who is a quadruple amputee following a sepsis infection nine years ago. She wears prosthetic legs, is mobile, and enjoys living a full and active lifestyle. She is a successful business owner with a great sense of humor who enjoys staying busy, traveling, shopping, dining out, and spending time with her family. She shares her home with her husband, five small dogs, and two cockatiels, so the ideal candidate should genuinely enjoy both people and animals.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, including showering, dressing, hair styling, and makeup as desired
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Help prepare for appointments, outings, and daily activities
• Drive to appointments and errands on occasion
• Perform light housekeeping, including laundry, loading and unloading the dishwasher, and putting clothing away
• Provide daily care for five small dogs, including feeding, administering medications, brushing, letting them outside, and cleaning up after them
• Provide basic daily care for two cockatiels, including administering medications.
• Accompany her on one or two vacations each year (passport required; all travel expenses paid)

Schedule

This position follows a rotating 4 days on / 4 days off schedule.

Typical hours are approximately 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although flexibility is important. Some days may end earlier, while others may extend later depending on appointments, activities, or travel. No two days are exactly alike, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and can easily adapt to changing daily routines.

Experience as a caregiver, personal assistant, CNA, home health aide, DSP, nanny, or in a similar role is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right individual with the right attitude, personality, and work ethic.

Requirements
