Role Description
This is a part-time/per diem for our After Hours Clinic (serving as an Urgent Care), on-site role for a Physician Assistant based in La Mirada, CA. The Physician Assistant will provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed physician. Key responsibilities include conducting physical exams, diagnosing health conditions, creating treatment plans, performing procedures, and educating patients about preventive care and wellness. The role also involves collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Our manager will send a schedule a month in advance, and you will be able to choose the days that work best for you. Please note that we are open 365 days a year. Our hours of operation are as follows: weekdays, 5:00 PM-9:00, and weekends/holidays, 10:00 AM-4:00 PM.
Qualifications
- Clinical skills including patient assessment, medical history-taking, and physical examinations
- Expertise in diagnosing, developing treatment plans, and prescribing medication
- Experience performing medical procedures and providing patient education
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Current and valid Physician Assistant licensure in the state of California
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Experience in primary care or family medicine (preferred but not required)
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or equivalent from an accredited program
