Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of property management systems, legal regulations, and customer service principles. This role involves managing leasing activities, ensuring property maintenance, and maintaining positive relationships with tenants and vendors. The Property Manager will play a critical role in ensuring properties are well-maintained, compliant with regulations, and financially successful.
Duties
- Manage property leasing processes, including tenant screening, lease negotiations, and contract management.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 guidelines, and LIHTC requirements
- Oversee property maintenance and facilities management to ensure properties are safe, functional, and appealing
- Handle landlord-tenant law issues, conflict management, and dispute resolution to maintain positive tenant relationships
- Conduct regular inspections and coordinate repairs or upgrades through appropriate vendors or maintenance teams
- Assist with legal administrative tasks including lease agreements, contracts, and regulatory filings
- Upsell additional services or units to existing tenants when appropriate to maximize occupancy rates
- Provide exceptional customer service via phone etiquette and in-person interactions to address tenant inquiries or concerns
- Collaborate with sales teams for marketing efforts and lease renewals to optimize occupancy levels
- Manage office administrative functions such as filing, data entry, and maintaining organized records
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administration with a strong understanding of landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations
- Strong customer service skills with excellent phone etiquette and conflict management abilities
- Experience in lease negotiations, contracts management, and legal administrative procedures
- Ability to handle property maintenance coordination effectively while managing multiple priorities
- Office experience including data entry, filing systems, and administrative support functions
- Skills in sales or upselling additional units/services to tenants are a plus
- Facilities management knowledge is desirable for overseeing building operations efficiently
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) REQUIRED
