About the Role:
As a Golf Ranger at Imperial Golf Club, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring an exceptional experience for all golfers by maintaining the pace of play and upholding course etiquette. Your primary objective is to monitor the flow of play across the course, providing guidance and assistance to players to ensure a smooth and enjoyable round. You will act as a liaison between the golf course management and players, addressing any concerns promptly and professionally. Additionally, you will help maintain the safety and condition of the course by reporting any issues or hazards to the appropriate personnel. Your presence on the course will contribute significantly to the overall reputation and operational excellence of Imperial Golf Club.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in customer service or a related role, preferably in a golf or recreational setting.
- Basic knowledge of golf rules, terminology, and etiquette.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working as a golf ranger or in golf course operations.
- Certification in first aid or CPR.
- Familiarity with golf course maintenance practices.
- Ability to operate golf carts and basic course equipment.
- Multilingual abilities to assist a diverse clientele.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the pace of play and assist players in maintaining an efficient flow throughout the course.
- Enforce golf course rules and etiquette to ensure a respectful and enjoyable environment for all guests.
- Provide courteous assistance and information to golfers regarding course layout, local rules, and club policies.
- Report any course maintenance issues, safety hazards, or player conduct concerns to management promptly.
- Collaborate with the golf operations team to support special events, tournaments, and daily course activities.
