Yard & Warehouse Operations Coordinator – CDL A

Imperatore Corporation is seeking an experienced, dependable, and highly organized individual to join our team as a Yard & Warehouse Operations Coordinator.

This is a hands-on operations position combining yard and warehouse organization, freight receiving and shipping, forklift and equipment operation, inventory control, documentation, and customer service.

This is not simply a general yard labor position. We are looking for someone who can safely operate equipment, maintain an organized facility, communicate professionally with customers and coworkers, accurately document freight movements, and take ownership of the day-to-day condition and efficiency of our yard and warehouse.

• Receive, document, organize, stage, and ship customer freight.

• Load and unload customer freight, construction materials, tools, and equipment using forklifts and cranes.

• Organize and maintain construction materials stored throughout the yard.

• Organize and maintain warehouse inventory including tools, equipment, and hardware.

• Prepare and organize tools and equipment required for upcoming Imperatore projects.

• Frequently operate forklifts and yard spotter equipment.

• Coordinate incoming and outgoing deliveries with customers and company personnel.

• Maintain accurate computer records of freight received and shipped.

• Communicate professionally with customers by phone and email regarding deliveries and freight.

• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance checks on yard equipment.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized yard and warehouse.

• Work collaboratively with office, project, and field personnel to keep daily operations moving efficiently.

• Adapt to changing priorities and multiple assignments throughout the workday.

• Valid CDL Class A driver's license.

• Minimum 5 years of professional forklift operating experience.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and situational awareness.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Professional customer service and communication skills.

• Basic computer and email proficiency.

• Ability to accurately document incoming and outgoing freight.

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.

• Dependable, positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow with the company.

Previous experience loading and unloading freight in a construction yard, supply house, warehouse, trucking operation, equipment rental company, or similar environment is preferred.

The right person for this position takes ownership of their work and surroundings.

The successful candidate should be comfortable moving throughout the workday between operating equipment, receiving and shipping freight, organizing materials, assisting customers, completing documentation, preparing equipment for projects, and solving day-to-day operational problems.
