JOB SUMMARY
The Finance Business Partner will serve as a strategic financial advisor to a high-growth business segment within Imperative Logistics Group. This role is designed for a finance leader with a strong investment banking or corporate finance background, capable of bridging financial strategy with operational execution. Supporting either our Expedite or Global Forwarding and Fine Arts segments, this individual will collaborate closely with senior business leaders, delivering actionable insights, rigorous financial analysis, and forward-looking recommendations that drive performance and growth.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Lead financial planning and analysis for strategic and operational initiatives, providing high-impact support across cross-functional teams.
- Own the development of board-level materials, performance dashboards, budget frameworks, advanced analytics, and financial models tailored to the business segment.
- Conduct sophisticated modeling, scenario planning, and risk analysis to inform long-range financial strategy and operational goals.
- Drive the annual budgeting process, including operating expenses, capital expenditures, and cash flow forecasting.
- Design and maintain reporting packages that measure progress against strategic priorities and key initiatives.
- Partner with leadership to define and implement KPIs and performance dashboards that enhance visibility and accountability.
- Ensure consistency and integrity in financial reporting across the organization, enabling data-driven decision-making.
- Build deep industry and competitive intelligence, identifying benchmarks and trends to inform strategic positioning.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- REQUIRED: Experience with a large Transportation Management Systems (TMS)such as WorldTrack, Full Circle, Sylectus, or CargoWise; CargoWise is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a quantitative field with strong financial acumen.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, management consulting, or logistics finance.
- Experience working with global, matrixed organizations; direct exposure to the 3PL or freight forwarding industry is highly preferred.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive and resourceful approach to complex challenges.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate financial insights into strategic action.
- Deep understanding of corporate financial statements and the ability to connect operational decisions to financial outcomes.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools such as PowerBI.
- Familiarity with Adaptive by Workday is preferred.
- Programming experience in SQL, Python, DAX, or R is a plus.
- Comfortable working with large datasets, navigating ambiguity, and applying statistical techniques to drive insight under tight deadlines.
COMPENSATION
$125,000-$150,000, annually/per hour we consider a variety of factors in determining base compensation including but not limited to, experience, education, certifications, internal equity, market data and geography.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The position is in an indoor, office environment, requires the ability to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors verbally and in writing, sit for periods of time, operate typical office equipment which requires seeing and the use of a keyboard.
