As they continue to expand their U.S. operations, they are now seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to join their New Jersey site.
This role is critical in delivering best-in-class automation systems across manufacturing and utility environments, with a particular focus on Emerson DeltaV.
π§ Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support automation systems, with a strong focus on Emerson DeltaV DCS, across pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
- Oversee the commissioning, qualification, and validation of automation systems, ensuring alignment with GMP, FDA, and internal standards.
- Translate process and operational requirements into scalable, compliant automation strategies in collaboration with engineering, production, and quality teams.
- Develop and review URS, FDS, SDS, FAT, and SAT documentation to support lifecycle activities.
- Troubleshoot and maintain automation systems to ensure optimal performance, data integrity, and minimal downtime.
- Support system upgrades, migrations, and integration of new equipment and processes into existing control systems.
- Contribute to design reviews and risk assessments to ensure compliance, functionality, and safety.
- Act as a technical leader and subject matter expert in DeltaV, offering mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
π Ideal Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (or related field).
- 5 years of hands-on experience in automation engineering within regulated pharmaceutical or biotech environments.
- Proven expertise in Emerson DeltaV DCS design, configuration, and troubleshooting (required).
- Strong knowledge of GMP, GAMP5, 21 CFR Part 11, and validation protocols.
- Experience working in cross-functional project environments, including facility expansions and equipment integration.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
