POSITION OVERVIEW
As a modeling-focused power electronics engineer at Impedyme, you will assume a versatile role that spans across multiple teams including R&D, projects, support, and marketing. Your primary responsibilities will center around controlling power electronic systems, encompassing a dynamic range of tasks, including but not limited to:
• Creating application examples for prospective clients, combining simulation and experimental validation
• Crafting control solutions for customized design projects • Designing and testing Impedyme control blocksets within MATLAB Simulink
• Assisting customers in utilizing Impedyme products effectively
The control solutions you create will be founded upon thorough literature reviews and state-of-the-art methodologies. Furthermore, these solutions will undergo rigorous evaluation, involving both Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulations and Power Hardware-In-the-Loop (PHIL) experimentation in our laboratory facilities, serving a wide spectrum of applications, spanning from motor drives to photovoltaic (PV), energy storage systems, extending to microgrids and wireless power transfer systems.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Educational Background: A Master's degree (or Ph.D.) in electrical engineering is preferred, but equivalent experience will also be considered.
• Experience Level: We welcome candidates ranging from junior to senior levels. Our R&D and sales teams are flexible and open to accommodating various profiles.
• Work Experience: While a background in power electronics is advantageous, prior experience in this field is not mandatory for this position.
