Reports to: Pharmacy Services Supervisor
Location: Edmond, Oklahoma (onsite)
Schedule: Monday Thursday: 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
As a Prior Authorization Coordinator -Pharmacy Technician, you'll work closely with providers, insurance companies, and patients to make sure prescriptions are authorized, covered, and delivered without unnecessary roadblocks.
Key responsibilities:
- Verify prescription benefits and patient eligibility
- Submit and follow up on prior authorizations for medications
- Reprocess insurance claims when necessary and resolve coverage issues
- Communicate with patients about benefit status, next steps, and expected outcomes
- Direct patients to appropriate copay assistance or savings programs
- Stay up-to-date on PBM policies, step therapy, and coverage guidelines
- Identify and remove barriers preventing medication access
- Maintain accurate records and manage tasks in the EHR system (Liberty experience a plus)
- Work closely with clinic staff to ensure timely medication delivery
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience:
- 2 years of experience in pharmacy, benefits verification, insurance billing, or prior authorizations
- Specialty pharmacy experience is a plus
- Liberty system experience is also a bonus
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Licensure: Oklahoma Pharmacy Technician license is preferred, but not required, with relevant pharmacy experience
- Tech Skills: Familiar with CoverMyMeds, Microsoft Office, and EHR systems
SKILLS THAT SET YOU APART:

- Familiarity with FDA-approved drug uses, pharmacy math, and dosage calculations
