duties and responsibilities

• Gathering patient information by conducting physical examinations and asking questions
• Ordering necessary diagnostic tests, such as blood work or diagnostic imaging
• Making informed diagnoses based on the findings of exams and tests
• Recommending treatments to ease symptoms, manage chronic conditions or cure illnesses
• Educating patients about self-care and lifestyle changes that can contribute to the success of a treatment
• Monitoring patients’ ongoing conditions and adjusting treatment plans as needed
• Supervising and coaching other members of the care team to coordinate care for patients
• Updating patient medical records and ensuring that medical information is accurate and kept private
