Job Summary:
The General Laborer plays a crucial role in the daily operations of our warehouse, requiring physical stamina, punctuality, and a strong work ethic. This role also involves maintaining safety standards, preparing products for shipment, and performing general warehouse duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently load and unload freight from trucks.
- Perform physically demanding tasks that require standing all day, as well as frequent bending, reaching, and stretching.
- Build and wrap pallets.
- Use a manual pallet jack to move items to their proper location within the warehouse.
- Organize and maintain warehouse space to ensure efficient operations.
- Perform housekeeping duties as needed to keep the work environment clean and organized.
- Use power tools safely and efficiently for various tasks.
- Remove strapping, rigging, nails, and blocking materials from containers and flat racks.
- Take responsibility for punctual daily attendance, with a willingness to work overtime as required.
- Assist with other tasks and duties as needed to support the team.
- Prior experience in a warehouse environment is required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, and capable of working independently.
- Critical thinking skills are essential for success in this role.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per day and perform repetitive motions such as bending, reaching, and stretching.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. independently.
- Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and maintain a positive work environment.
- The role involves working in a warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels, requiring physical stamina.
- Hours: Must be available to work flexible hours, including potential overtime and weekends.
