Security Engineer
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid – 4 days onsite / 1 day remote)

Position Overview
Our client, based in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a Security Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. This role supports both project-driven security initiatives and day-to-day security operations, playing a hands-on role in protecting enterprise systems, data, and users.
The Security Engineer will collaborate closely with IT and security teams to monitor threats, respond to incidents, and support continuous improvements to the organization’s security posture.
Key Responsibilities
- Support a mix of security projects and operational ticket-based work within the security team
- Use ServiceDesk to track security incidents, requests, and tasks
- Assist with data protection and data loss prevention (DLP) initiatives using enterprise security platforms
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to security events using an Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) platform
- Perform threat investigation and remediation using Microsoft-native security tools
- Support email security and day-to-day threat protection efforts
- Collaborate with team members to enhance security processes, tooling, and response capabilities
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with an EDR platform (e.g., SentinelOne or similar enterprise tools)
- Experience supporting email security and data protection solutions in an enterprise environment
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Defender and related Microsoft security tools
- Familiarity with threat detection, analysis, and remediation using Microsoft-native platforms
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational security environment
