FinOps Engineer

Our client, located in Phoenix, AZ is looking for a FinOps Engineer on a Contract basis

Please Note:

• Must be currently local to Phoenix, AZ market
• Ideally W2 but will consider C2C
• This role is a hybrid, role must be willing to come onsite as needed.

Day to Day duties

• Collaborate with engineering, finance, and business to manage and optimize cloud spending

Experience Required/Preferred:

• Experience with reading billing reports (AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, GCP Billing Console)
• Previous AWS, Azure, and GCP experience (Any of them)
• Previous Cost management and cost optimization experience
• Experience with Right-sizing EC2/VM instances
• Previous experience Identifying unused storage, snapshots, load balancers, Ips
• Experience choosing proper instance families/types
• Experience using spot instances or committed use discounts (Savings Plans, Reserved Instances)
• Familiar with dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, QuickSight, Data Studio)
• Experience with Monthly cost reporting
• Experience with Budgeting or forecasting

Preferred certifications

• FinOps Certified Practitioner (FCP)
• FinOps Certified Professional (FPRO)
