The Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, patient-centered care throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods. This role functions as a clinical leader, using the nursing process in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the Scope & Standards of Practice. The RN collaborates effectively with interdisciplinary teams, delegates appropriately, and maintains accountability for patient outcomes while supporting the organization's philosophy of nursing excellence.

Education
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program (RN diploma)
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN)
Required:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
Required:
- Current RN license in the state of Louisiana or compact state license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR), computers, and web-based applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational, time management, and critical-thinking abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Demonstrated leadership and delegation skills in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Delivers safe, effective nursing care using the nursing process
- Assesses patient and family learning needs and provides individualized education
- Coordinates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources effectively
- Serves as a leader and collaborative partner within the interdisciplinary team
- Utilizes data and evidence-based practices to evaluate care and promote optimal outcomes
- Adapts care delivery to meet the cultural, emotional, and developmental needs of diverse patient populations
- Maintains professionalism, patient privacy, and respectful communication at all times
- Supports initiatives that enhance patient satisfaction, staff engagement, and nursing practice
- Maintains knowledge of and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards
