Position Summary
We are seeking a Job Coach/Employment Specialist to join our team. This role provides hands-on support, training, and encouragement to individuals with disabilities in their workplace settings. A successful Job Coach/Employment Specialist is patient, dependable, and passionate about making a difference.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one support and training at job sites.
- Teach job skills, workplace etiquette, and coping strategies.
- Collaborate with employers, families, and support teams to ensure success.
- Promote independence and inclusion in the workplace.
- Document progress and communicate effectively with supervisors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred).
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities (preferred, not required).
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required.
- Pass a background check.
- Compassion, patience, and a heart for helping others.
