Injection Molding Shift Lead / Technical Process Specialist (3rd Shift)

- TECHNICAL MASTERY 2 years of professional mold setup, process optimization, and press startup experience in a custom molding or job shop environment (Note: Extrusion-only experience is not a match)
- MATERIALS FLUIDITY Deep working knowledge of thermoplastics, including high-performance and engineering-grade resins like ABS and Polycarbonate
- SCHEDULE Premier 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Flexible to scale up to 9-hour shifts daily based on production demands)
- COMPENSATION Up to $77,500 annual base salary depending on trade mastery comprehensive corporate benefits package
- WORK TYPE Full-Time, Permanent, W-2 employee position (Pristine, modern, and highly technical facility with clean air systems)

What You Will Be Doing
- Executing full, high-precision machine setups and startups, including hanging heavy tools, dial-in of technical process parameters, and running initial samples for zero-defect quality approval
- Serving as the primary technical point of contact and floor leader for the 3rd shift, troubleshooting complex molding issues and providing guidance to a lean team of three production operators
- Managing end-to-end material logistics on the shift, including precisely mixing resins, loading hoppers, and cleaning grinders to guarantee an uninterrupted production flow
- Monitoring and maintaining strict ISO 9001 standards through routine machine inspections and basic part quality checks to ensure all pieces meet durability and appearance specifications
- Leading by example as a highly active, working shift leader, providing operator break coverage, and jumping in wherever needed to secure the shift's manufacturing success
What We Are Looking For
- Custom Shop Pedigree: 2 or more years of verifiable experience setting up and starting up injection molding presses within a custom molding or job shop setting.
- Resin Depth: Concrete technical familiarity with a wide variety of thermoplastics, especially engineering-grade resins like ABS and Polycarbonate.
- Floor-First Mindset: A strong preference for hands-on technical troubleshooting, process tweaking, and floor execution over administrative desk work.
- Professional Stability: A solid, reliable work history that demonstrates long-term commitment (our facility boasts an incredible average team tenure of 10 years).
- Autonomous Problem Solving: The confidence to navigate a press, clear process alarms, and optimize parts independently as the sole technical subject matter expert on the shift.
- Proximity: Permanent residency located within a comfortable 45-minute commute of the facility.
