What are the responsibilities and job description for the Principal Chemical Engineer position at Impact Solutions Inc?
What’s in it for you?
- This company definitely gives its people an opportunity for a high-impact role. They have developed a couple of new technologies that they are now bringing to market; they have customers they are building units for and that will likely increase moving forward. As such, there are opportunities in both the development and perfection of the technology as well as in the commercialization and scaling of the technology.
- If you are looking to join a company that is on the front-lines of green technology, specifically in industrial gases, this company is solidly in that space and is one of the innovators.
- You’re joining a group of seriously talented engineers and scientists – this company has been able to draw out some of the best.
- Limited travel (less than 20% typically), good work/life balance, team-oriented atmosphere
General Requirements:
- B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (advanced degree preferred)
- 10 years of relevant industry experience; specifically you should have about 3-5 years of technology development in industrial oil & gas or gas processing. Experience with pyrolysis technologies would be the ‘bullseye’. Other on-target unit ops experience would be: heat exchangers, cyclones, compressors, and filters.
- Should know process simulation and have an expert level understanding of front-end process design.
- Scale-up and technology development experience is critical – this company wants to make sure they’re not re-inventing the wheel, so someone who has a broad knowledge of what’s already out there, particularly in carbon black production and pyrolysis technologies, would be a great match here.
