LOCATION: Hiring at multiple locations across the Seattle-Tacoma area (Tukwila, WA, South Seattle, WA, Tacoma, WA, Renton, WA)
SALARY: $99,291-$118,662 based on aligned years of experience
START: This position is year-round & hiring happens on a rolling basis. Start date will be determined as part of the offer process.
STATUS: Full time school year, benefits eligible, exempt, in-person position
REPORTS TO: Chief Academic Officer or their delegate

Core Job Functions
- Instructional Excellence: Support the School Principal in leading the instructional team and driving the academic vision, focusing on data-driven planning, teacher training and development.
- School Culture: Support the School Principal with creating and maintaining a strong school culture rooted in high expectations, restorative practices, and values-based leadership.
- People Leadership: Partner with Impact’s Talent and HR teams to recruit, develop, and retain highly effective school team members. Manage, mentor and coach team members to encourage growth and results including leading on hiring, training, and conducting evaluations.
- Community Engagement: Build meaningful partnerships with families and community members, promoting the school’s vision and brand.
- Operations: Support the principal and Director of School Operations in managing, facilities, schedules, safety, and other school operations efficiently.
- Finance: Support the principal and Impact's Finance team in overseeing school finances responsibly, equitably, and ethically. Support management of resources to support the instructional model.
Other Duties
- Serve as a recruiter for new students; actively engage prospective families in an effort to draw more students to choose your school; be willing to take on additional tasks to support recruitment, as needed.
- Actively engage in the community in which your school is located. This includes community outreach, touring your school with elected officials and other community leaders, hosting community events and encouraging staff to be present in the community.
- Actively engage in family communications by establishing norms and cadence with staff, and modeling strong positive family communications
- Work with Impact’s Home Office Leadership Team to create network-wide standards, curriculum, and assessment documents.
- Work with Impact’s Home Office Leadership Team to create network-wide new teacher professional development; create school-specific new and returning teacher professional development.
- If applicable, teach course(s) within the school
- If applicable, act as a student advisor for a group of students
Physical Demands
- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is active and may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching throughout the day. Frequent light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds) with occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds). The employee must have sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment. Work is primarily inside but has daily responsibilities outside (exposure to sun, heat, cold, and inclement weather).
Required Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree
- 3 years teaching experience, preferably at the elementary school level, with a history of success improving scholar achievement
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior administrative experience as an Assistant Principal or Principal
- Passion for equity and gap closing teaching experience with proven record of student growth
License/Certification
- Must have or be eligible to obtain a CPR certification
- Must have or be eligible to obtain a food handler certification
