IMPACT PHYSIO IS HIRING

We Don’t Treat Injuries. We Rebuild Capacity for Living. Come Do It With Us.

Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant | Clarks Summit, PA | Pay: Range based on experience]

Every physical therapist assistant starts the same way — wanting to help people move without pain. But somewhere between productivity targets and 15-minute units, a lot of clinicians lose the plot. They stop asking why a runner’s knee actually hurts, and start just treating the knee.

At Impact Physio, we started with a different question: what if we built the kind of clinic we’d actually want to be treated at? One where a PTA isn’t just executing someone else’s plan of care, but is trusted, mentored, and pushed to get better every single day — because our patients deserve nothing less.

If you believe movement is medicine — not a phrase on a wall, but the actual reason you get up in the morning — we want to talk to you.

Life Inside Impact Physio

Walk into our clinic and here’s what you won’t find: clock-watching, cookie-cutter exercise sheets, or clinicians who’ve stopped learning. Here’s what you will find: John, Ben, and Shannon elbow-deep in a case discussion between patients, a whiteboard covered patient goals, and Charlie — our Chief Mood Enhancer — greeting patients like they’re the most important person in the building. Because to us, they are.

We treat runners chasing a Boston Qualifier, weekend warriors who refuse to hang it up, and post-surgical patients who’ve been told to take it easy — and we find them a way forward instead. We use 3D gait analysis technology once reserved for professional athletes and elite training centers, and bring it to everyday people who just want to keep doing what they love.

Our culture runs on energy, not ego. We push each other, celebrate wins loudly, and never let “good enough” become the standard.

Who We’re Looking For

You’re a PTA who sees the person, not just the diagnosis. You get genuinely excited about manual therapy and strength-based rehab — not because it’s trendy, but because you’ve seen it change outcomes. You want a PT looking over your shoulder not because you need supervision, but because you want a mentor who makes you sharper. You ask “why” before you ask “what exercise.” And you’re hungry — for better outcomes, better skills, and a better career.

Required Qualifications

  • Active PTA license (or license-eligible) in Pennsylvania
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Current CPR certification
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset — you thrive working alongside PTs, not just under them
  • A genuine interest in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves That Get Us Excited)

  • Experience or training in manual therapy techniques
  • CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist), or working toward it
  • Background in personal training, strength coaching, or athletic performance
  • A personal athletic background — runner, lifter, former athlete — you speak that language
  • Familiarity with gait analysis or running mechanics

What You’ll Actually Do Day to Day

  • Deliver hands-on treatment under the direction of our PT team — manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and strength and conditioning progressions
  • Collaborate directly with PTs on plan-of-care adjustments based on real patient progress, not just paperwork
  • Educate patients on their program and their “why,” so they understand the plan instead of just following it
  • Track outcomes and communicate wins (and setbacks) with the team in real time
  • Help create a clinic experience patients want to tell their friends about

Mentorship, Continuing Education, and Growth

We don’t hire a PTA and hope they figure it out. You’ll work directly alongside John and our PT team, with structured mentorship built into your week — not just onboarding, ongoing. We invest in continuing education because a clinician who stops learning starts stagnating, and that’s not who we are.

Whether your next step is a CSCS certification, advanced manual therapy training, or eventually PT school, we want Impact Physio to be the place that got you there — not just a job you passed through.

Beyond the Paycheck

  • Pay: [competitive, based on experience]
  • Continuing education support
  • Mentorship built into your schedule, not squeezed in around it
  • A clinic culture that actually feels like a team
  • Charlie, our therapy dog, as a daily coworker
  • Room to grow your career, not just clock hours
