What You’ll Do
Insurance & Authorization Management
- Verify insurance benefits for physical therapy services and communicate coverage details clearly to patients
- Secure and manage prior authorizations, ensuring timely approval for uninterrupted care
- Proactively track authorization expiration dates and initiate reauthorization requests
Scheduling & Patient Communication
- Manage clinician schedules to optimize productivity while ensuring quality one-on-one patient care
- Track patient attendance and ensure they remain compliant with their treatment plans
- Handle patient cancellations and reschedules promptly, ensuring continued care and recovery
Front Desk Operations
- Oversee front desk operations, ensuring a smooth, welcoming environment for all patients
- Manage patient check-ins and check-outs, process payments, and address patient inquiries
- Maintain accurate patient records and complete all required documentation in a timely manner
Communication & Team Collaboration
- Act as the communication hub between patients, clinicians, and administrative staff
- Support and train team members on insurance processes, compliance, and best practices
- Identify and recommend improvements to enhance the front desk workflow and patient experience
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a medical office, ideally within a physical therapy or rehabilitation setting
- Strong understanding of insurance verification and authorization, as well as healthcare compliance
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Prompt EMR experience is a plus) and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
- Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance standards
