About Camp Chinqueka:
Camp Chinqueka is a long-established girls’ sleepaway camp in Bantam, Connecticut, with roots going back to 1955. It’s known for being a warm, community-driven environment focused on helping girls build confidence, independence, kindness, and strong friendships through a traditional summer camp experience.
Set in scenic Northwest Connecticut, Chinqueka offers a wide range of activities — more than 30 to 40 programs depending on the season — including swimming, canoeing, climbing, zip line, dance, ceramics, martial arts, fencing, sports, music, drama, and more. The camp has an energetic, outdoorsy feel, but also a strong emphasis on care, safety, and personal growth.
For a nurse, this is a chance to step into a role that is much more than clinical coverage.
