JOB SUMMARY:
Impact NW Senior Department is a contractor of Multnomah County Aging, Disability, &
Veteran Services Division (ADVSD) and also a contractor of Alder 9 to provide health
promotion services. Impact NW will be partnering with both services to provide Tai Chi
Classes.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete accurate, legible, and timely documentation of all client contacts and services delivered following Impact NW's management information system. Adheres to confidentiality policies and procedures in handling participant information.
- Lead all tai chi classes twice weekly for at least a series of 24 weeks including setup and cleanup.
- Report any client concerns or program needs to supervisor.
- Participates in ongoing professional development training to stay certified as an instructor.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION:
Reports to: Transportation Supervisor/Admin Assistant
Qualifications:REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of experience and training that would likely meet the following
requirements
- Certified Tai Chi Instructor
- Ability and willingness to work as a team member, use positive and direct communication with team members, and support Impact NWs mission and goals;
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing;
- Sensitivity and ability to relate to people from diverse lifestyles and cultures;
- Successful completion of a criminal background check (ORCHARDS)
Salary : $45 - $50
