About the Role:
Forest Park Hospice is looking for compassionate volunteers to join our team and support patients and families during one of life's most meaningful journeys.
Hospice volunteers provide comfort, companionship, and small acts of kindness that make a big difference. Sometime the most powerful gift you can give is simply your time
We ask for a minimum commitment of at least 2 hours per week. Even small amount of time can bring great comfort to someone who needs it most.
Volunteer Opportunities may include:Support families with respite visits
- Providing companionship to patients through conversation, reading, or simply being present
- Sharing music, art, or simple activities
- Offering respite visits so family caregivers can take a short break
- Supporting memory care visits
You do not need prior hospice experience. We provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to make you feel comfortable and prepared
Volunteering with hospice is a special opportunity to:

- Support families during a difficult time
- Serve your community in a deeply meaningful way
Requirement:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to commit to 2 hrs a week complete required training.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Background check clearance as required by hospice organization policies.
