QUALITY & SAFETY MANAGER (Automotive Warehousing & Distribution (U.S.)

Position Type: Direct Hire

Position Shift: 1st Shift

Salary: $75K-$85K

Position Location: Taylor, MI

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop the quality management system and all related documentation (policies, procedures,
• processes, work instructions, forms) are established, compliant, implemented, and maintained.
• Develop the safety program and all related documentation (policies, procedures,
• processes, forms) are established, compliant, implemented, and maintained.
• Develops and administers all training related to the Quality Management System and Safety Program.
• Acts as the management representative of the quality management system.
• Main contact with ISO registrar.
• Maintains corrective action system related to internal and external concerns.
• Support all sites with customer concerns.
• Ensures the promotion of awareness of regulatory and customer requirements throughout the
• organization.
• Provides guidance and support to all of the sites by helping the staff understand
• and appropriately interpret the requirements of the quality management system and safety

• Support quality management review and meetings, reporting on QMS performance and needs
• for improvement.
• Reports to sr. management on QMS performance and safety compliance. Communicates opportunities for improvements.

EXPECTATIONS

• Expected to develop and coordinates all activities for the Quality Management System and Safety Programs, including policies, procedures, processes and related documentation.
• Expected to perform internal audits at the sites, verifying compliance and identifying areas of concern or opportunities for improvement.
• Expected to maintain and communicate out status of company measurable for quality & safety.
• Expected to continuously looks for improvement in our business processes and make appropriate recommendations.

QUALIFICATIONS (Training, Education, Past Experience)

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and/or minimum six years work related experience
• Good understanding of statistics
• Strong problem solving skills with knowledge of problem solving tools (5Why’s, Cause/Effect, Fishbone, etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Five years of direct job-related experience in QA
• Knowledgeable in OSHA/OHSA safety regulations.
• Experience in internal auditing
• Experience in the automotive core tools (PPAP, Control Plan, FMEA, MSA, SPC)
