Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscaper to join our dynamic outdoor maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and enhancing outdoor spaces to ensure they are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and sustainable. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of horticulture, landscape design principles, and the proper use of various tools and machinery. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential gardens to commercial landscapes, contributing directly to the beautification and environmental health of our communities.

Duties

• Perform landscape installation tasks including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing hardscape features such as patios and walkways.
• Maintain lawns through mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and weed control to ensure healthy turf growth.
• Conduct landscape maintenance activities such as pruning, tree trimming, shrub shaping, and seasonal clean-up.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for tasks like digging, planting, trimming, and landscape construction.
• Use specialized equipment including excavators for larger projects or land grading tasks.
• Implement irrigation systems installation and repairs to promote optimal water management.
• Provide snow plowing services during winter months to ensure safe access for properties.
• Perform routine landscape inspections to identify issues requiring attention or repair.
• Assist with horticultural practices including soil preparation and plant health assessments.
• Support hardscape construction projects by laying pavers, retaining walls, or other structural elements.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in landscaping, gardening, or related outdoor maintenance roles.
• Mechanical knowledge of landscaping machinery and hand tools.
• Familiarity with lawn care techniques and landscape maintenance practices.
• Ability to operate power tools such as trimmers, blowers, saws, and excavators safely.
• Knowledge of horticulture principles and plant care best practices.
• Experience with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of landscape construction including hardscape elements.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
