Production Team Lead 1st Shift

Impact Confections is an innovative manufacturer of candies marketed under the WarHeads® and Melster Candies® brand names. WarHeads® are one of the most recognized (and tastiest!) sour candies in the world and the fastest growing brand in the market! Poised for substantial near-term growth, we have an opportunity for an experienced Production Team Lead in our Janesville, WI facility. This position will work* 7:00am -3:00pm, with extended shift times and Saturday work hours as required. Production Team Lead 1st Shift: The Production Team Leader manages the day-to-day planning, operation, and problem solving of a team of production members to meet required service level components, standards and targets in assigned area. Duties include reviewing schedule and managing assigned people and production lines to meet standards and yields. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide training for new employees and monitor progress Act as the communication conduit between production employees and Management Ensures all team members adhere to safety and Company policies Train existing employees on new products or processes Ensures that the correct materials and supplies are set up on the line Ensure machines are in proper working order for production startup and shut down, call maintenance if equipment requires repair Ensures that the product is made according to procedure and specifications Perform all other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or combination of related experience and/or training. LANGUAGE and COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Proven effective inter-personal skills. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
