SUMMARY
The Production Inventory Associate plays a critical role in supporting the crafting of the tastiest candies in the world for customers and distributors throughout our network. The primary overall role of this position is to ensure the timely and accurate capturing and reporting of production yields/output for each work center during the assigned shift. Serving as the in-house customs agent, this position ensures that each pallet of finished goods is verified against production yields, shipping specifications and labeling requirements prior to allowing transfer to warehousing. You’ll keep busy in a fast-paced production environment as you contribute towards keeping our fans supplied with the most popular sour candies in the world! (3rd shift: 10:45pm-7am)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accepts responsibility and accountability in ensuring that every pallet of finished goods is correctly validated and recorded prior to its’ transfer from the production department to warehousing.
- Accurately double-checks each pallet against appropriate Work Order to ensure production yield, shipping specifications and labeling requirements are correct and complete.
- Upon verification, accurately and efficiently enters and records production information in the ERP/MRP system for each pallet finished during their assigned shift.
- If discrepancies are found between Work Order specifications and actual production results, this role halts the shipping process, notifies the appropriate contact and works to correct the issue.
- Uses knowledge of ERP/MRP system to print and then attach/adhere correct shipping and labeling tags, as appropriate, on pallets and in shipping records.
- Uses computers and programs to create and/or update a daily production report.
- Effectively communicates with internal departments to support production goals.
- Strong desire to achieve while working within and supporting a team environment, doing whatever it takes to help fulfill our customer commitments.
- Adheres to and supports all applicable housekeeping, safety, SQF and GMP practices while performing job duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least one year experience in an industrial manufacturing/warehouse environment highly preferred.
- Experience using computers and MS Office required; experience using an ERP system desired.
- Basic mathematical skills required, such as ability to compute production yield.
- Steadfast attention to detail.
- Self-starter, hardworking with a positive, team-centered attitude.
- Ability and desire to stay active, standing and walking most of the shift.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
There are no supervisory responsibilities with this role.
