Our client, a Global Leader in the Medical Device Industry has an immediate opening for a CAD/CAE Engineer for a 9 month Contract. We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineer to apply and develop innovative simulation methodologies to characterize and optimize next generation implant designs, processes, and surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Apply and develop advanced finite element analysis (FEA) simulations, including static and dynamic nonlinear multibody analyses with deformable contact, complex materials, and multi-physics modeling for realistic in vivo and manufacturing process simulations.
- Perform comprehensive literature reviews to establish analytical frameworks and validate modeling assumptions.
- Innovate by developing new simulation techniques and automating processes through custom programming in Fortran, Matlab, Python, or similar tools.
- Evaluate analytical results and provide sound recommendations for design, process, or material modifications to enhance product performance.
- Develop, validate, and refine analytical models to support research initiatives and technological advancements.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, peer-reviewed publications, and regulatory documentation-including 510(k) submissions-and participate in industry conferences by presenting abstracts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, clinical advisors, and external research partners to drive innovation and integrate competitive insights into next-generation device development.
- Oversee proposals for external modeling and simulation research collaborations at universities and laboratories.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in modeling & simulation-based research within the medical device industry or equivalent technical field.
- Proficiency with finite element analysis software such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or LS-Dyna.
- Experience with CAD tools like SolidWorks or Pro/Engineer.
- Programming skills in Fortran, Matlab, Python, or similar for automation and custom analysis workflows.
- Strong technical writing skills for reports, publications, and regulatory submissions.
- Ability to interpret complex data, develop innovative solutions, and contribute to discovery-driven research projects.
Salary : $65 - $67
