SR Research Associate/Associate Scientist

Immuneering is a clinical-stage oncology company outpacing cancer to help patients outlive their disease. Our lead product candidate, atebimetinib (IMM-1-104), is currently in a Phase 2a trial in patients with advanced solid tumors including pancreatic cancer. Immuneering’s R&D team is based in a ~38,000 square foot lab and office facility in San Diego. The company also has offices in New York City and Cambridge, MA. Immuneering has grown to more than 50 employees, all working to apply their expertise, passion and creativity to improve the lives of people with serious diseases. Primary Responsibilities

•    Independently perform cell cancer research lab activities, including tissue culture, bio-banking, molecular and cell-based assays, imaging and other state-of-the-art biology techniques in oncology.

•    Contribute to project development process within scientific discipline. 

•    Work independently with limited supervision.

•    Have open communication, positive interpersonal and teamwork skills, and timely, accurate maintenance of written reports.

•    Analyze data and interpret experimental results.

•    Prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses.

•    Adherence to Quality System protocols and policies.

Ideal Competencies for Senior Research Associate:

•    Experience in cell culture techniques and general molecular/cell biology skills

•    Background in cancer biology and/or molecular cell biology required

•    Effectively troubleshoot to solve scientific problems with limited supervision

•    Willing and able to work under the pressure of deadlines and find solutions to meet timelines

Qualifications

Education

• B.S. or M.S. in a scientific discipline, with 3 years (B.S.) or 1 years (M.S.) related laboratory experience.

Technical / Soft Skills

•    Comfortable using computers, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, e-mail, and internet.

•    Able to work within a Quality System with oversight by QA and other regulatory bodies. Experience working in a regulated environment a plus.

•    Good organizational and time-management skills.

•    Ability to multi-task with a high degree of professionalism and diplomacy.

•    Detail-oriented individual with above-average communication skills, both written and verbal.

Title and compensation will be commensurate to candidate's experience
