Busy immigration law office seeks experienced immigration paralegal for removal defense and family-based cases. Must be fluent in Arabic and English.
For the role of experienced immigration paralegal, candidate must possess:
- minimum 3 years of immigration law office experience, specifically in handling removal defense and family-based cases, including completion of all necessary forms and packets, managing clients and completing cases successfully with minimal supervision. MUST KNOW HOW TO HANDLE EOIR AND ASYLUM CASES FROM START TO FINISH;
- fluency in English and Spanish, with excellent written and spoken language skills and experience in translating for immigration cases. MUST KNOW PROPER SPELLING, GRAMMAR AND USAGE; and
- positive attitude, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and common sense/sound judgment MUST BE ABLE AND WILLING TO FOLLOW DIRECTIONS AND INSTRUCTIONS FAITHFULLY, as well as APPLY COMMON SENSE AND SOUND JUDGMENT in all circumstances.

This office is headed by an attorney with over 25 years' experience, mainly in removal defense, representing undocumented persons in Immigration Court. The office is a small, intimate environment, focused on the work of assisting the undocumented. This workplace is ideal for those who are dedicated to the cause of helping, and fighting for, immigrants, especially those of limited means and resources. While the work may be demanding and challenging, no paralegal will be asked to work beyond normal business hours or weekends, and this office emphasizes proper work-life balance. Flexibility in work schedule is also available, including part-time hours.

Such experience can aid and distinguish one's application by highlighting a desire and dedication to use one's legal education to fight for and help vulnerable communities, such as immigrants seeking safety and security in the United States.
Internship does NOT pay a formal wage, but a nominal stipend is provided as a courtesy, in the amount of $15 to $30 per day, depending on the hours worked.
