Job Summary
We are seeking a Music Coordinator to lead and inspire our music program. This position works closely with the pastor and other staff to plan, coordinate and direct the music ministry. We are looking for someone with strong musical proficiency including conducting, vocal abilities and instrumental skills. The ability to influence others to use their musical gifts is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive music programs that align with our mission statement
- Coordinate music activities within the church
- Lead rehearsals and provide guidance to musicians, students, or participants to enhance their skills and confidence
- Oversee the selection of repertoire, musical arrangements, and performance standards to ensure high-quality presentations
Experience
- Proven experience in teaching or leading musical groups or programs
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Strong communication skills to articulate ideas clearly and foster collaborative relationships
- Knowledge of various musical genres, performance techniques, and organizational logistics related to worship
