Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for a School Nurse located at Immanuel Lutheran School in St. Charles, MO. The School Nurse will be responsible for providing health services to students, including administering medication, managing chronic health conditions, handling emergencies, and promoting overall student health and wellness. Additional responsibilities include maintaining health records, conducting routine screenings, collaborating with educators and families.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in School Nursing practices and knowledge of School Health principles and procedures
- Expertise in Nursing and Medicine with an understanding of healthcare protocols and treatments
- Experience in providing care in Pediatrics, especially in an educational setting
- Compliance with Missouri state requirements for school nurses, including current nursing licensure and certifications (e.g., RN or LPN)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, parents, and staff
- Organizational skills to maintain accurate health records and manage healthcare plans
- Previous school nursing experience is preferred but not mandatory
