Immanuel Church is a multisite congregation committed to helping people find life in Christ. We are seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our Administration and Operations Team. This role supports the maintenance, safety, and appearance of all church facilities to ensure a welcoming and functional environment for ministry and events.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Assistant will help oversee facility operations at both Lakeside Park and Boone campuses, including buildings, grounds, parking lots, and playgrounds. The role includes routine repairs, preventative maintenance, janitorial support, and event setup assistance.
Primary Responsibilities:
Facility and Equipment Maintenance: Assist with general repairs, painting, inspections, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry projects; maintain equipment functionality and ensure code compliance.
Grounds and Exterior Care: Support landscaping, minor tree removal, playground repairs, parking lot upkeep, and maintenance of outdoor areas and equipment.
Carpentry, Minor Plumbing, Electrical, and Painting: Perform carpentry work (building structures, repairing doors, windows, and furniture), assist with minor plumbing and electrical repairs, and complete painting and cosmetic improvements as needed.
Janitorial and Supply Support: Assist with janitorial responsibilities not covered by contracted services, including supply management and periodic deep cleaning.
Event and Ministry Support: Help set up and tear down for church functions, assist volunteers, and offer general operational support as needed.
Safety and Compliance: Help maintain a safe environment across all church properties in collaboration with the Administrator and Maintenance Manager.
