Job Overview
IMKAT Construction is a fast-growing ADU builder completing 120 projects annually across Northern California. We are hiring a Construction Controller who can lead and perform accounting operations, including AP/AR, job costing, and financial reporting.
Duties
- Handle and oversee AP/AR, subcontractor invoices, PO matching, billing, and collections.
- Maintain accurate job costing for all ADU projects.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, WIP schedules, and cash flow forecasts.
- Develop and enforce SOPs for accounting processes.
- Train junior staff in basic accounting workflows.
- Improve systems in Buildertrend QuickBooks.
Qualifications
- 5 years construction accounting or controller experience.
- Strong AP/AR and job costing skills.
- Proficient in Buildertrend (or similar) and QuickBooks.
- Ability to build processes from scratch and teach non-accounting team members.
- Highly organized, accurate, and proactive.
