Position Summary

The Outside Sales - New Construction Oil & Gas will conduct and directs sales activities on behalf of IMI CCI for New Construction Oil & Gas projects in his/her assigned region of the Americas. Sales activity coordination involves performing the following duties personally or in conjunction with CCI representatives.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This role does not have any payrolled direct reports but will manage third party agent relationships

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sales Planning: Develop project pursuit strategies with EPC, End users, and OEM’s for key projects including LNG, power, refinery and petrochemical projects.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate relationships with decision-makers, operators, technical teams, buyers and stakeholders to influence specifications and secure contracts.
  • Project Lifecycle Leadership: Guide opportunities from initial client engagement with end users through proposal submission, negotiation, and contract finalization with EPC.
  • Risk Management: Conduct competitive analyses and mitigate project risks during pursuit phasesDevelop, implement strategic sales plans, and obtain purchase orders that meet or exceed IMI CCI Americas Oil & Gas regional sales goals.
  • Agent Management: Manage agents within assigned territories to maximize revenue and achieve growth
  • Customer Engagement: Conduct sales seminars and represent the company at trade association meetings (e.g., ISA Local Meetings) to promote IMI focused products/services and value to customers
  • Internal Coordination: Collaborate with quotations teams, contracts management, legal engineering, project management, and manufacturing sites to streamline the sales cycle and ensure compliance/operational alignment.
  • Market Analysis & Intelligence Gathering: Monitor LNG market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies; gather comprehensive market, customer, and competitive intelligence to identify growth opportunities and inform sales strategies

Qualifications And Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge flow control applications in Upstream, Midstream and Downstream processes.
  • Knowledge of products such as Control Valves, Desuperheaters, HIPPS Systems, Silencers, Ball & Butterfly valves and Instrumentation products
  • Knowledge of control valve , isolation valve sizing and related industry specifications.
  • Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Salesforce CRM
  • Ability to plan and conduct negotiations with customers.
  • Ability to make informative and persuasive presentations to customers.
  • Knowledge of principles and theories of mechanical engineering and fluid dynamics.
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing management.
  • Strong communication skills in both verbal and written form.
  • High moral and ethical standards.
  • Flexible in shifting priorities and resources to meet objectives.
  • Supportive in change in developing new processes and procedures.

Pay range: $120,000-$150,000

Within the range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications as they relate to the job requirements. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible to receive a variable incentive pay component. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
