Lead Shipping Department
Major job responsibilities include staging pads in designated locations and maintaining finished goods inventory, preparing and staging materials for shipment, loading trucks, reviewing and management of proper shipping documentation. This position requires the daily operation of a fork truck as well as excellent attention to details.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Must be able to drive a fork truck (as part of daily activities) and /or obtain fork truck certification.
- Compare and reconcile inventory levels (on board) against physical count of stock.
- Load and unload materials to and from designated storage areas, racks, shelves, or inventory locations.
· Review completed pallets to assure that weight sheets and labels are attached, and pallets are ready to be staged in inventory or staged for shipping.
· Understand and follow shipping schedules with the ability to effectively manage priorities and changes in priorities.
· Re-check that pallets staged for orders are correct by verifying each pallet against the weight sheet and that shipping labels are correct.
· Understand customer specifications and trucking requirements for weight and distribution of loads to properly load containers.
- Visually inspect finished goods for damage to assure finished package has acceptable workmanship that meets customer specifications.
· Reject pallets that do not meet customer requirements and issue non-conforming tags to have pallets re-packaged and/or re-stacked.
· Ability to understand and organize paperwork.
· Must have strong attention to detail.
· Work independently with minimal supervision.
Additional Duties:
· Observe all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management. Follow all rules and regulations including wearing protective gear (glasses, gloves, shoes, etc) as required by IMG’s Safety Policy.
- Work cooperatively with the production team to meet quotas and goals.
- Be available to work overtime occasionally, including nights and weekends as production demands dictate. (Note: overtime may be necessary during high order demand periods but most production is achieved with longer workdays rather than night and weekend shifts).
- Perform all other duties assigned by management to achieve continuous flow of the production process.
Hours: 7-4pm Monday - Friday
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
