Job Summary
JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:
The Multicraft is responsible for mechanical and electrical support for the respective site to include installation, rebuilding machinery and mobile equipment, diagnostics, programming and performing daily tasks to support daily operations of the site.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Including but not limited to the following:
- Comply with all Imerys, MSHA and Equipment Mfg Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Receives oral or written instructions from Supervisor and selects required materials and equipment to perform the job.
- Follows established procedures in shutting down and disassembling equipment, replacing damaged or worn parts and reassembling equipment, damaged or worn parts and testing equipment to perform to required specifications.
- Repairs, rebuilds, modifies and/or adjusts equipment and parts to suit production requirements.
- Repairs and maintains all equipment (Including HME) in accordance with the preventative maintenance program and manufacturer's information.
- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicle maintenance for industrial machines and equipment and keep equipment service records.
- Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in their workplace
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment, schematics diagrams and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Assisting management with Route Cause Analysis and providing feedback for work performed on all tasks, either verbally or electrically.
- Any other job duties assigned by management.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and Experience requirements:
High School diploma, training in vocational schools, related on-the-job experience, or an associate's degree in required fields. Position assessments are required for this position.
SPECIFIC ASPECTS
Constant exposure to dust, noise, heat and cold. In the event of an emergency underground, individuals must have the ability to walk out of the mine, approximately one mile, and climb a 75' escape ladder wearing a MSA W65 Self Rescuer Respirator. May require lifting up to 50 pounds and climbing to heights up to 100 feet.
