Benefits Coordinator (Hybrid)
Roswell, GA
Are you a detail-oriented professional with a knack for numbers and a passion for helping others?
Imerys is seeking a Benefits Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. This is a critical, non-exempt role perfect for a junior-level professional with roughly 3 years of experience in employee benefits who thrives in a process-driven environment. If you are "systems savvy," highly organized, and an Excel enthusiast, we want to hear from you.
The Role at a Glance
- Pay: Up to $28/hr
- Location: Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days remote after an initial 3–6 month training period)
- Reporting to: Director of Compensation & Benefits
- Focus: Financial aspects of benefit administration, process accuracy, and employee support
Key Responsibilities
This position is "literally" about the details: ensuring our weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly benefit processes are completed with 100% accuracy.
- Financial Administration: Handle HSA funding, employee deductions, and billing for various Health & Welfare vendors.
- Claims & Disability: Support self-insured claims funding and administer life and disability programs, including short-term disability (STD) vouchers for payroll.
- System Management: Assist in administering our online benefits enrollment system and HRIS (ADP/Workday), ensuring all coding and data feeds are accurate.
- Employee Support: Act as the main point of contact for employees and retirees regarding benefit questions and issue resolution.
- Annual Cycles: Support open enrollment preparation, communications, and annual plan audits.
What We Are Looking For
We are targeting candidates who enjoy "under the hood" administrative work and aren't afraid of complex spreadsheets.
- Experience: 3 years in employee benefits with a focus on financial administration (H&W, HSA, 401k/Pension).
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills are a must (vlookups, if-then statements, and managing complex workbooks).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience; CEBS is a plus.
Attributes:
- High sense of urgency and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to "spot the outlier"—you notice when numbers don't look "normal" and ask questions.
- Excellent customer service skills and a collaborative, compassionate approach.
Physical Requirements
- This role is primarily office-based: 80% Sitting/Computer use and 20% Standing/Moving (filing, printing).
