Location: Remote/Hybrid (1 - 2 weeks for training onsite)

Shift Time: 8am to 4pm
Pay Rate: $30 to $40/hr on W2

π Position Overview
As a Medical Coder, you will review patient medical records and assign correct ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for inpatient and/or outpatient services. Youβll ensure coding meets CMS, AMA, and NYCHH guidelines while supporting reimbursement, audit readiness, and reporting accuracy.

- Review and analyze clinical documentation for completeness
- Assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes
- Apply correct modifiers and coding guidelines
- Query providers for clarification when needed
- Ensure compliance with CMS, AMA, and NYCHH coding standards
- Meet productivity and quality benchmarks
- Support denial resolution and billing accuracy
- Maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA)

π Required Qualifications
- Active coding certification: CPC, CCS, CCS-P, or CCA
- 1β3 years of coding experience (hospital or professional)
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS
- Experience with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to meet productivity and accuracy requirements
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy
