Job Summar

ySeeking an experienced Medical Coder with acute care coding experience, including Outpatient and Emergency Department (ED) coding. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of coding guidelines, healthcare regulations, and medical terminology, along with the ability to research coding-related issues and support coder training initiatives

.Key Responsibilitie

• sAssign accurate medical codes for diagnoses and procedures in an acute care setting
• .Review and analyze clinical documentation to ensure coding accuracy and compliance
• .Apply ICD-9-CM, CPT-4, and other applicable coding standards and guidelines
• .Ensure compliance with payer requirements and federal billing regulations
• .Research and resolve coding-related questions and discrepancies
• .Assist with coder education, training, and quality improvement initiatives
• .Maintain coding accuracy, productivity, and documentation standards

.Required Qualification

• sCertified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification required
• .Experience with Outpatient and Emergency Department (ED) coding
• .Knowledge of coding guidelines, payer guidelines, and federal billing requirements
• .Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and disease processes
