This position is responsible for managing the daily operation of the tool crib, maintaining inventory accuracy through the GigaTrak Tool Management System, inspecting and servicing tools and equipment, and supporting jobsite mobilization and demobilization activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and equipment readiness.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Issue tools, equipment, and materials to employees using the GigaTrak Tool Management System.
- Maintain accurate records of tool assignments, returns, transfers, repairs, and inventory transactions within GigaTrak.
- Track tool utilization, accountability, and inventory levels to ensure equipment availability.
- Conduct periodic physical inventories and reconcile discrepancies using GigaTrak reporting tools.
- Generate inventory, usage, and accountability reports for management as needed.
- Inspect tools and equipment upon return for damage, wear, and operational condition.
- Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance on hand tools, power tools, and related equipment.
- Test and verify functionality of tools prior to returning them to inventory.
- Prepare, organize, and package tools and equipment for field projects (mobilization).
- Receive, unpack, clean, inspect, service, and restock tools and equipment returned from jobsites (demobilization).
- Label, barcode, and identify tools and equipment to maintain accountability and traceability.
- Coordinate with the Fleet Manager regarding equipment needs, repairs, and inventory improvements.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized tool crib and work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in tool crib operations, inventory control, fleet support, warehouse operations, or equipment maintenance preferred.
- Experience using GigaTrak Tool Management Software or similar inventory management systems preferred.
- Experience repairing electrical and pneumatic power tools is highly desirable.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and inventory management software.
- Working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
- Valid Arizona driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to analyze inventory data and maintain accurate asset records.
- Self-motivated with the initiative to improve processes and increase accountability.
